Abstract

The aim of this work was to study the relationship between the organic nitrogen content of some cooling waters and their chlorine demand. Organic nitrogen has been determined by a persulfate method, and three different evaluations of the chlorine residual have been compared: DPD method, amperometric titration and a membrane electrode.
