N2 - The first fiber reinforced polymer composite (FRP) superstructure in New York State was constructed in late 1998. It is also the first such bridge to employ high skew angle, integral barrier, and deck cross slope. A comprehensive test program, comprising of periodic load tests were conducted to document its long-term performance, characterize its dynamic properties, and calibrate analytical and theoretical analyses. Finite element analyses were conducted to further investigate its failure mechanisms and to optimize future designs. This paper briefly summarizes these efforts.
