Abstract
A case of a benign tumor of vestigial brown fat (hibernoma) is presented. The circumstances surrounding an associated odontogenic infection are discussed. The case and a review of the literature are presented to clarify a pathologic condition rarely included in the different diagnosis of head and neck masses.
