Hand-held blood separation microfluidic chip

Abstract

In this paper, a point-of-care blood separation microfluidic device was proposed. Without any sophisticated equipment, by only the helping of a hand held syringe, the whole blood could be separated and only serum will be pushed to the outlet. Moreover, the lμm particles were also able to be separated from a mixture of lμm, 5μm and 20μm particles.
