title = "Ground Target Tracking Applications. Design Examples for Military and Civil Domains",
abstract = "This chapter presents two examples of Ground Target Tracking (GTT) designs. There has been a notable interest in GTT algorithms and applications among estimation and sensor fusion research communities; a survey describes recent strategies for GTT algorithms in different fields. In the chapter, the objective is to present in detail some real experiences of the authors in developing approaches for GTT which include modeling and exploitation of available ground contextual information in two representative examples: battlefield situations and airport surface, indicating the common aspect and peculiar algorithms exploited in each case.",
