Abstract

The original version of the Lowry model is reviewed and its major shortcomings are enumerated. It is then shown that it is possible to develop an economic version of the Lowry model which has behavioural and systemic consistency and formulates the two-way equilibrium interaction of population and employment by deriving rent distributions as well as physical forecasts.-from Author
