Abstract
The production of (Formula presented) mesons in fixed target (Formula presented) collisions is considered. It is shown that non-relativistic QCD predicts (Formula presented) states to be produced with sizeable transverse polarization. The possibility of a measurement of the (Formula presented) polarization at the DESY HERA-(Formula presented) experiment is discussed.
