Abstract

Motion of flux lines in YBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films has been studied by means of a direct-flux counting method. A 1/f type noise was observed in the thermally activated depinning region, providing a possible signature for self-organized critically. The changes in thermally activated depinning and a depinning-transition with temperature suggest that vortex lattice melting occurs in the YBCO thin films.
