Evolving a multisensor/multitarget surveillance processing architecture

Abstract

This paper discusses an overall approach and some of the underlying assessments in formulating an adapting fusion processing architecture against targets in a Cluttered background. This adaptive fusion process accommodates the realities of distinctions within the fundamental nature of data processing from a set of multispectral, yet similar function (commensurate) sensors, and a set of multispectral multifunction sensors. The result is a hybrid architecture incorporating both centralized and distributed processing elements.
