Abstract

The evolution of fractal patterns was investigated during a classical-quantum transition. The semiclassical process was suppressed using controlled transitions towards either fully classical or fully quantum-mechanical conduction. The fractals were found to be robust to the suppression process. The transition from fractal to nonfractal behavior was characterized by a smooth change in the fractal dimension rather than deterioration in the fractal scaling properties.
