Abstract

DXplain is a computer-based system which analyzes a patient's historical, physical, and laboratory findings and generates a list of diseases which could account for the data. The authors review the patient case analysis, present enhanced user HELP capabilities, and discuss new features to focus on a particular patient finding and to generate a printed case summary. The ability to use the database as a multiindexed textbook is discussed.
