Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for use with children and adolescents. The history of identifying evidence-based practices for youth is reviewed briefly, followed by a summary of what is currently known and what remains to be examined regarding EBPs for youth. The chapter ends with a discussion of several topics relevant to EBPs in youth that need further research, including factors that influence whether clinicians use EBPs and methods of transporting EBPs into clinical practice.
