Abstract
The solid state polymerization of diacetylenes can be successfully investigated by static SIMS. A biexponential rate equation describes the kinetics of the BIP51 system analyzed in this experiment. A temperature dependence is also seen. ESCA can be used to complement SIMS in the characterization of the LB films.
