N2 - Technology that facilitates the use of exchange of information relating to steel bridge engineering will be the focus of this paper presentation. As the first 3D centric bridge project, it will provide a basis for insights on the pragmatics of incorporating a 3D-centric workflow into the design and construction process combined with XML transfer techniques. The research results when completed, expected to be useful not just during planning stage but for the complete bridge building processes of design, fabrication, simulation, erection and maintenance.
