Abstract
Electrochemical ammonia splitting promises low-temperature hydrogen release but catalyst poisoning has kept performance far below practical levels. Now, an electrode-alternating strategy allows the same electrode to periodically switch between ammonia oxidation and hydrogen evolution, enabling durable, high-rate hydrogen production.
