Abstract

The resistive, piezoresistive, thermoelectric and electromagnetic properties of cement matrix composites were studied. The composites were modified using admixtures such as short carbon fibers and steel fibers. Short carbon fibers were found effective in enhancing the piezoresistivity and p-type Seebeck effect. Steel fibers were effective in enhancing the n-type Seebeck effect.
