title = "Effect of stenotic geometry on blood flow behaviour",
abstract = "The dynamic characteristics of the blood flow is affected by the area reduction of stenosis. To estimate the severity of stenosis, the information about the geometry should also be accounted. In this paper, an index describing the severity of stenosis is established. Based on this index, the behavior of the poststenotic flow is analyzed by using the finite element approach. A new concept of flow recovery length is proposed. The relation of this length as a function the proposed index and the Reynolds number is established.",
