Abstract

The Side Effects of Drugs Annuals is a series of volumes in which the adverse effects of drugs and adverse reactions to them are surveyed. The series supplements the contents of Meyler's Side Effects of Drugs: the International Encyclopedia of Adverse Drug Reactions and Interactions. This review of the July 2013 to December 2014 publications on immunosuppressive and immunostimulatory or immunoenhancing drugs covers belatacept, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine, everolimus, fingolimod, glatiramer, leflunomide, mycophenolic acid (mycophenolate mofetil and enteric-coated mycophenolate sodium), sirolimus (rapamycin), tacrolimus, temsirolimus, thiopurines, voclosporin and the immunoenhancing drug levamisole. Special reviews of cyclosporine nephrotoxicity and everolimus adverse effects in breast cancer patients are presented. Pharmacogenetic and pharmacogenomic associations to adverse effects are presented for cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine, leflunomide, mycophenolic acid, sirolimus, tacrolimus, and thiopurines..
