Abstract
This paper provides a method for imaging a target scene in space and velocity domains. The method relies on a transmit focusing method to spotlight the region of interest with an ultrasonic beam; this is to improve the energy of the echo signature from the desired area. A receiver array is used to measure the resultant echoed signals; the receiver array provides spatial resolution within the spotlighted target area. A wide-bandwidth continuous-wave (WB-CW) signaling scheme is used to resolve targets in the Doppler domain.
