Abstract
Anemia is a common finding and often indicates significant underlying pathology. As obstetrician-gynecologists become more involved in the primary care of women, it is important for them to have a basic understanding of the problem. This article presents a brief overview of the general approach and evaluation of anemia and highlights some common types seen in women.
