Abstract

Cleaner fuels: Preferential adsorption of organonitrogen compounds from commercial diesel can be achieved by using a Faujasite zeolite in which Cu ions occupy the 6-ring windows sites. The key to this denitrogenation process is π complexation with the Cu1 ion, as illustrated for pyrrole.
