DEFORMALISM, DECOMPOSITION, ROT: Deviant Aesthetics at the End of Legibility

Let us begin with a proposition: whether or not we are active agents in finding a solution to human exceptionalism, it seems possible, even likely, that there may be less than a few centuries left of human life on the planet as we know it, if that, and that only for those of us in the temperate zones. Another proposition: climate change is what will bring about the practical end of human exceptionalism, namely famine, drought, disease, and other expressions of planetary ecological disaster. Many humans and many other species are going to die and are dying. The world of matter is going to supersede our will to survive it and in fact is already doing so.
