Abstract
The analytical approach to the critical point of Ising films proposed recently by Lin, Che and Xia is extended to investigate the Curie temperature Tc of magnetic bilayer heterostructures. Tc(m, n) is obtained as a function of N = m + n for a structure with m monolayers of spin film grown on a magnetic substrate of n monolayers. A strong dependence upon the lattice structure is found. In particular, effects of the interface on Tc(m, n) for systems consisting of different films are discussed.
