Abstract

Heterostructures of non-magnetic/magnetic high Tc superconductors have been grown by laser ablating pure YBaCuO and Ni doped YBaCuO. Superconducting properties of the composite are dependent on the amount of doping and the thickness of the doped layers. The critical temperatures of 87K and critical current densities in excess of 106 A/cm2 at 77K in 0.85 Tesla magnetic fields have been obtained for structures grown on ZrO2 substrates.
