Abstract
This paper describes the use of two glycosyl donors, namely, methyl 3,4-O-isopropylidene -2-O-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1-thioβ-L- fucopyranoside and pentenyl 3,4-O-isopropylidene-2-O- (4-methoxybenzyl)-β-L-fucopyranoside which offer a more efficient route for α-L-fucosylation and provide for a convenient and rapid synthesis of O- -α-l-fucopyranosyl- (1→2)-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1$YL D4) -D-glucopyranose (2′-O-α-l-fucopyranosyllactose)
