Abstract

Comprehensive data from two collapse test series is provided through NEES Response close to collapse is sensitive to the loading history every component experiences as part of the structure Even for first mode dominated structures, effects of higher modes on distribution of story shear force may be important P-Delta Effect can be quantified from elastic behavior through collapse Phenomenological models that simulate accurately component deterioration under cyclic loading can be used to accurately predict global response near collapse.
