abstract = "For 40 years scholars have published systematic reviews and entire handbooks on student engagement, though to date there has been no citation analysis of student engagement across all academic disciplines. This configurative synthesis review separates “non-English language” from “all-language” publications, and it presents finer-grained analyses of four key Categories. Visualizations of citation “bursts” and calculations of “betweenness centrality” confirm some within- and between-Category relationships previously posited, and they also reveal as-yet-undocumented relationships for further exploration.",
