Abstract
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was established in 1971 as part of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. OSHA's primary goal is to ensure that all workers are provided with safe and healthy working conditions through the implementation of effective enforcement programs, and the development of occupational safety and health standards. The function of OSHA has continued to evolve over the years to address the changing demands of various groups and legislators. These changes have mainly been concerned with the standards setting and enforcement functions of the OSHA.
