Abstract
The effect of a small corner-energy regularization on the equilibrium shape of a crystal in two dimensions, was studied. A leading-order solution using matched asymptotic expansions was constructed. The results show that the regularized solutions approach the classic equilibrium shape as the regularization approaches zero. This study validated the use of the corner-energy regularization in numerical calculations of equilibrium shapes in two dimensions.
