Abstract

An amplifying composite right/left-handed (CRLH) delay line is presented for frequency scanning reflectarrays. Using a reflection-type amplifier, the reflective unit with the CRLH delay line can maintain the original polarization state. Gain enhancement and scanning is demonstrated by incorporating the measured delay line responses into full-wave simulation.
