Abstract

An investigation based on the synthesis of methyl α-isobutylacrylate via an alternating free-radical isomerization polymerization method was reported. The study involved the use of full nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique for analyzing the polymer. In regard with it, the efficient intramolecular rearrangement of the acrylic propagating free radicals was also discussed.
