N2 - Objective: To present an evaluation of the curriculum design, development, and implementation of the asynchronous course Advanced Public Health Informatics. The poster presents the formative and summative assessment of the course, utilizing a quality improvement process. Computer and Information science didactics, combined with domain expertise in public health, biology, genomics, and healthcare, created the courses’ knowledgebase. Methods: A mixed methods approach assessed the development and implementation of the course, teaching effectiveness, students’ experience in the course, and progress in meeting learning outcomes. Results: Best course design and development practices were identified that promoted student learning and positive experience (with areas for improving teaching effectiveness and asynchronous learning experience). Conclusion: Teaching multidisciplinary content asynchronously presents new opportunities and challenges.
