Abstract
The appearance of unexplained acute renal failure during the course of idiopathic nephrotic syndrome is an uncommon but well-reported phenomenon in adults. Its occurrence in childhood has not been reported. We present an 8-year-old girl with minimal change nephrotic syndrome in whom inexplicable acute renal failure developed following exploratory laparotomy.
