Abstract
A 56 year‐old woman presented in congestive heart failure 4 weeks after cardiac catheterization. By repeat catheterization, the mean gradient across the native aortic valve had progressed from 10 mm Hg to 51 mm Hg. In patients with calcific‐degenerative valvular disease, the rapid worsening of aortic stenosis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of recurrent heart failure.
