Absorption effects in reaction K++nK*0+p at 2.3 BeVc

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Using the distorted-wave Born approximation to take into account the absorption effects due to the competing open channels in the initial and final states of KN elastic scattering, the differential cross section for the reaction K++nK*0+p at 2.3 BeVc is calculated assuming one-pion exchange. The remarkable agreement of the result with a recent measurement suggests that the Kp production of K* with charge exchange may be understood through one-pion exchange. The contribution of one-pion exchange to the production of charged K* is briefly discussed.
