Abstract
An attempt was made to derive a thermodynamic proof of the nucleation theorem that holds down to a molecular level. Following generalization of the nucleation theorem, it was shown that such theorem may be extremely useful in the study of inhomogeneous systems outside of nucleation. Finally, a general thermodynamic proof of the nucleation theorem was established.
