Abstract
Understanding and evaluating the impact of promotional strategies remains one of the fundamental, interesting, and challenging jobs that a manager faces. Nevertheless, research offers little by way of guidelines or rules-of-thumb. We propose and demonstrate the use of a communication framework that allows the manager to evaluate any strategy over a given set of specific criteria.
