Development of a feature-length film exploring the history of solid waste storage and removal in the U.S. using New York City as a geographical and cultural focal point.The Valley of Ashes is a feature-length documentary film that offers a close examination of the history of solid waste and wasting in New York City and how a knowledge of that history can help guide us toward a more regenerative and less destructive relationship to waste—in the city and beyond.
